Welcome from the President

My name is Anastasio. I’m a Bilingual Parent and The President of The Cesar Chavez Language Academy Foundation for the 2023-24 School Year ! This is my 8th year at CCLA and my 6th Year Serving on The Board . My  Husband and I have two Sons that are in 3rd and 6th grade. I’ve been an active volunteer throughout the years, grabbing volunteer shifts and co-chair positions wherever I can fit them in because I love to be involved and help make school life as fun and smooth as possible for the kids! My biggest position so far was Co-Chair for Our Spring Gala Fundraiser for 3 Years ! I hope to meet you all at one of the many Foundation events or out on the playground.  Please feel free to reach out to me and I would be happy to help you find ways to also get involved, which would help our Foundation and events run smoothly so your child can benefit most!

Cesar Chavez Language Academy Foundation supports enrichment activities and community building events that contribute to the academic excellence and educational pursuits of CCLA students.

CCLA is a TK-8th Grade school; our students spend more time here than any other place in their young lives. The CCLA Foundation strives to make the students’ time not only filled with excellent educational opportunities, but also cultural activities, after school clubs, assemblies, school sports, and other enrichment activities.

Since our inception in 2013 we have impacted nearly 500 kids and 200 families and we are committed to keeping the inclusive feel of our school as we continue growing our student body and programs. We are the first Spanish immersion school in Santa Rosa and the fastest growing school within the Santa Rosa City Schools. In 2019 we moved to a new campus in South West Santa Rosa where we completed a number of renovations and upgrades and have space to offer even more programs for our students.

Thanks to our dedicated parents, school staff and numerous successful events the Foundation has grown its contributions 550% in the last 8 years.

“Community” is a recurring term in everything that we do at CCLA and it is not by accident. Our community is what makes us unique, what gets us through tough times and what propels us forward. Community means that everyone is welcome, everyone is cared for and everyone has a place here. Our students come from all over Santa Rosa and from many different neighborhoods, but together we are The CCLA Community: growing, exceptional, and making a difference.

The Foundation welcomes all parents and community members to become a part of creating unique opportunities for CCLA students and families. You can join us by attending one of our monthly meetings, our many community events, or contribute through the Donate Now feature.
